Files required ========= TVersity: TVersity Xbox 360 patch: FFdshow: FLVSplitter: Note: Links subject to change If you use Windows Media Connect or Windows Media Player 11 ========================================= If you already have Windows Media Connect or Windows Media Player 11 sharing your media, you will have to disable them. Goto the 360 and remove the PC from the System tab->Computers. Unistall Windows Media Connect and/or disable sharing in WMP 11. Instructions ======= On the PC (in my case Windows Vista x64): 1) Install TVersity 2) Make sure the TVersity service is stopped 3) Overwrite the TVersity files with the 360 patch 4) Install ffdshow and flvsplitter (extract to a useful folder e.g. C: Windows system32, use a command prompt to install: regsvr32 flvsplitter.ax) 5) Goto: 6) Add the folder you would like to share under the sharing tab by using 'Add folder' on the file menu. Change the device to 'Xbox 360' in the settings tab. 7) Reboot On the 360: 1) Goto the blue 'Media' tab 2) Goto video - Computer 3) Connect to TVersity on XPC 4) You may need to go back and forward, to refresh list first time 5) Play a DIVX! Other codecs ======== The only codecs I have installed are: ffdshow, flvsplitter, vsfilter, quicktime alternative and real alternative. Unofficial known issues =============== 350mb AVIs work straight away, 700mb AVIs require me to load them twice on the 360 (it will say timed out or whatever), just try it again. Some files will fail to work because the filename is too long - so try shortening it. Thanks for all your hard work guys, keep it up Very Happy Finally DivX on 360 thanks to TVersity. Thanks to Iraq Stationed Man on the other board. I got it too work BUT I have Windows Media Center 05' installed. So I'm unsure if this will work with regular XP computers. Basically, I'm using the Video Player withing 360's Blade interface. I'm NOT using Windows Media Player / Media Center (on the 360) and Transcode360. The only thing that sucks is that its still transcoding the video (its not streaming the Xvid file natively). Its still cool for people who want to play Xvid files and not have a MCE PC. I've also used this program (TVersity) to stream Internet Radio. The DIVX/XVID files take a while to Transcode. Though, It all depends on the quality your trying to transcode. For instance, I just transcoded an episode of HEROES right now. Settings: Resolution: 1280x720 Compression: Minimum Decode Media as Fast as Possible: Off The show is about an Hour long and it took about an Hour or so to Transcode. Its also encoded at 720p. Wwe 2k17 Xbox 360 Patch DownloadSo its not surprising to me that it took that long (shitty PC too) If your willing too take a hit in Image Quality to watch the show quicker than your able to do that. It all depends. Skyrim Xbox 360 Patch DownloadLast week's Xbox 360 added support for the Windows Media Video (WMV) video codec. The feature was a welcomed gain for non-Media Center users who have been limited to photo and music sharing between their Windows PCs and Xbox 360s -- and to anyone who's longed to watch video files on 360 via a thumb drive or CD/DVD. Unfortunately, licensing fees and digital rights concerns have limited the patch to WMV-support only. Being Microsoft's proprietary format, WMV is neither popular or oft-used, taking a backseat to preferred codecs like DivX and XviD. And so, we're still left scrambling for a solution to getting our video content onto Xbox 360.
